Interim Rector:  The Rev. Lou Hays   pictured far right

 

The Rev. Lou Hays serves as Interim Rector, walking with the people of Trinity Episcopal Church as they journey through a sacred  time of transition to discern God’s vision for their bright future.This interim period follows the departure of their previous Rector, the Rev. Suzanne Le Vesconte, to join the staff of the Episcopal Diocese of Iowa. The goal of this time of transition is to continue the loving, welcoming ministry of Jesus Christ to Hamilton and beyond while preparing for the person that God would have serve as the next Rector.

 

Lou has served as interim in two parishes in the Diocese of Niagara in Ontario, Canada, Interim Rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Bluefield WV and Good Shepherd in Parkersburg WV, rector of parishes in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, and assistant rector in Maryland. He graduated from the Virginia Theological Seminary after a career as a lawyer and administrator in federal, state and local government. Lou is married to the Rev. Michelle Boomgaard (pictured above, far left), Rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield, OH, and has two sons, Bret (pictured above, middle), also an Episcopal priest and Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Folsom CA and Craig, a proud member of the first order of ministry, the laity.
